Just out of bed, getting ready for work, and this is the first thing I see on my screen.

What a great start to the day

‚Flamingo rocket is a fiction‘, they said.

Ok so while everyone wants to capture things on their phone what would be the smart thing to do? Drop to the ground and cover your ears?
I’m always amazed at ppl who see a huge blast and stand in front of a glass window as the shock wave rushes toward it.
Also what’s that sound right at the beginning is that an air raid siren or the sound of the incoming missiles?

JSC VNIIR-Progress, a critical Russian military-industrial plant in Cheboksary, has suffered multiple, severe, and ongoing damage from Ukrainian drone and missile strikes in 2025 and 2026, causing significant fires. The facility, a key manufacturer of „Kometa“ navigation modules for drones, missiles, and marine equipment, had its operations suspended following earlier 2025 strikes.Key Details on VNIIR-Progress DamageRecent Activity (May 2026): Reports indicate a massive strike by Ukrainian drones and missiles (including the FP-5 „Flamingo“) on the facility, resulting in large fires and explosions, as noted in reports from.Function: VNIIR-Progress is a leading manufacturer of electronic warfare (EW) systems, relay protection, and the jamming-resistant „Kometa“ antenna array used in Geran/Shahed-type UAVs, missiles, and guided aerial bombs (KABs).

    6. Fun fact: the impact of 6 tons of Flamingo @ 900km/h results in ~45 kg of TNT-equivalent energy release simply due to kinetic energy conversion into heat/deformation. So, missile’s body itself serves as a third of FP-1’s maximum warhead.

      The more you know!

      And it is always so..

    8. Ah, I love me a night stroll next to a strategic target to the sound of the air sirens. So romantic.
