Aww man, if only there was a person or maybe even two that could watch these children and raise them as some sort of guardian or protector. Oh well I guess there’s nothing that can be done -.- /s

  2. not age verification. Identify verification to build our social credit scores. Stop accepting their propaganda.

And if it doesn’t work the first time, try blacking out a few teeth.

Honestly respect the hustle, we used to just lie about our birthday.

this reminds me of something we had Gmod, Death stranding 2, now this.

    Its glorius

  6. Next they’ll need a full body picture and kids will stand on top of each other under a trench coat.

  7. A classic. I wonder how many are doing it with the moustache & nose glasses.

„Oh so this didn’t work? Ok, then you will have to put your fingerprints before accessing the internet, and if you misbehave, you’ll lose social credit to have a decent life“.

Authoritarianism and fascism are back in the global menu.

Once saw a vid about how a boy passed Roblox age verification by drawing a face on his thumb

My favorite is people using Norman Reedus from death stranding because of how real it looks.

  11. Tech bros act all cocky about the things they make, like they’re giving us something as important as fire. Then a kid with a marker bypasses it.

I like how the standard since at least Windows 95 is that we are all just constantly beta testers for everything, and nothing works as well as it should, and often we have to pay for the privilege of using products that don’t work as described, and aren’t ready for public consumption.

  13. If that is enough to bypass the online check, then the online check is worthless.

  14. Infamous Gabriel Knight 3 puzzle solution actually works pretty well IRL, apparently.

  15. Kids these days are so lazy. In my day you needed at least 1 friend and a trenchcoat to make people think you were an adult.

Millennials with mustache tattoos on their fingers don’t feel so silly now

On Linux, it is trivially easy to pipe anything you want to a webcam device. Seems like it would be super easy to just set up a video switchboard of random celebrities winking and smiling and turning their heads, loop them into to device as needed.

Wait a minute, isn’t that Princess Carolyn’s boyfriend from BoJack Horseman? What’s he doing back from the business convention?

Nobody told them about the Ron Burgundy section at Spirit of Halloween?

  21. I know this is but a stepping stone to violent authoritarianism.
But for now, I’m just going to enjoy the whimsy

Should just use the mustache you get with the Screamin‘ Sicilian pizzas.

  23. Let’s be real… ALL of this *“age verification to protect the children“* is nothing more than a thinly-veiled stepping stone toward even more online tracking and near eradication of privacy as we know it

  24. So this is one of those news headlines where „some children“ actually means „only a single child was directly reported doing this in the entire world.“

    From the article:

„Parents also said they had caught their children drawing on facial hair in a bid to evade the technology. One mother said: “I did catch my son using an eyebrow pencil to draw a moustache on his face, and it verified him as 15 years old.““

It’s almost like kids will find a way… because people don’t want to be controlled, I wonder if humans will ever learn that.

  26. Years of tradition painting them on textbooks, now they are used to cheat in age verification. Marvelous
