No biggie, I’ll keep driving my car. At least it doesn’t fine me because I put my seatbelt on after releasing the handbrake

It’s eat what you get and bring what you eat.

SBB is scamming you all, with the day ticket, and you clap for them.

They are selling you day tickets back in time. So logically you buy a day ticket or a return one on site while on train departed and still it’s valid. If they sell you stuff valid in the past you can buy it anytime 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

And no one wants to sue?

  3. Of course they don’t show any mercy when it’s your fault. They don’t even show mercy when it’s *their* fault!

And if I hear „Dieser Zug fährt verkürzt“ one more time, I swear… Zürich Basel and vice versa, Zürich Bern, Zürich Winterthur, Luzern, Chiasso.. why plan a regular composition if you can’t provide that in the first place? SBB requires you to shell out a lot of money for continuously decreasing service and reliability. The tickets bought second after boarding are not the Problem…

All they actually said was «Aus offensichtlichen Gründen können wir keinen Blankoscheck für ein bestimmtes Mass an Abweichung geben, da wir keine Anleitung zur Umgehung der Regeln machen wollen.» They also say „dass Kulanz in gewissen Fällen angemessen sei“

Which is obviously reasonable. The whole point of „Kulanz“ is not to change the rules to „log into your trip whenever, we don’t care“, Kulanz means to look at a situation on a case-by-case basis and then to decide to not apply the rules overly strictly .

  5. Punishing as many dishonest people as possoble seems to be the priority, regardless of the cost to honest consumers. You can tell that by the behaviour of the train personnel which are trained often overly assertive, not seeking context and at times even agressive and lacking patience… It gives off the impression that they’re trained on the principle that everybody is a criminal until proven otherwise and that they should assume everybody cheats – that story of the SBB employee who slashed the tires of a bike whose owner allegedly didn’t pay his bike’s ticket comes to mind : what does it matter to a lowly train employee that this person cheated ? You do your job, get the offender’s info, and that’s it, it is not OK for professionals to have such reactions.
