Unrelated question : Is there any way he can be put out of power without 1) an invasion 2) a bloody internal coup 3) french revolution type uprising?

Basically any way that doesn’t involve „heads, spikes, walls“

A supreme leader hiding in a bunker while their country disintegrates around them? Where have I heard that before?

EDIT: for those hating on the edits, I’m just having fun, kiddos! It’s what we’re all here for. Just mystified and a little bemused as to how that could offend anyone to the point where a very specific subset of users feel compelled to whine about it. I feel sad for you 🤗

      Edit: thanks for the award!

I’d be just as worried about the people in the bunker with me if I were him. Its the environment he created

    4. Oligarchs are getting tired of not being able to get richer.

Pressure’s on and they’re looking for a solution.

Surprised there hasn’t been an internally orchestrated regime change yet.

Good. Let him rot in a dark hole looking behind his back for the rest of his life.

    7. I said before. He burned any chance of survival if a coup happens after last time with Prigozhin. Making an agreement and then killing him means no one will trust him a second time.

    8. hayden_evans on

It’s not even close to what they actually deserve, but there is some peace in the fact that autocrats usually go out as sniveling paranoid cowards hiding in bunkers

    9. Pretty sure that fear started way earlier than that, back when Ukraine actually showcased that they could get drones into moscow territory. He also created an unsustainable economy which as we know, the moment people struggle living, attempts are being made.

    10. If he sits in a bunker then anyone else would be free to sit in his chair in his office and actually do something useful. Let his guards off with immunity from charges of treason.

What’s he gonna do? Get out and risk getting merc’d? Sounds like that would work out well in the hands of the people to me.

If he stays then let him sit there in his timeout booth until he’ll apologize to Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya and all other countries or allies he has screwed over. Oh and all the Russian people aswell for wasting their lives and their future for your own.

    11. The most shocking thing about this is that there are a bunch of people who consider this man „strong“. Hiding in a bunker, far from all the atrocities he commands, old, weak, afraid. Most grannys are stronger than this guy.

But hey, he posted a photo of riding a horse shirtless once, he must be tough, right? Right?!

    12. ProductGuy48 on

So brave as always, stumpy Putin. He has been a coward his entire life not just now

    13. The guy knows he is doing the wrong thing thats why he is hiding like a mouse running from a comedian.

    14. Despite all the macho posturing, like shirtless horse riding and whatnot, Putin has always been a coward. His „meetings with people“ are just getting photographed with his bodyguards and whatnot wearing different civilian clothes. When visiting a hospital during Covid, others around had normal protective hospital clothing, but Putin was wearing a special suit like he was inspecting Chernobyl core in 1986. Also lets not forget the legendary long table. Closest he has been to the frontline at Ukraine was „bravely“ driving over the Crimea bridge. When mutinous Wagner drove towards Moscow, Putin fled to Petersburg.

All this is also the reason why Putin fanboys have such a visceral hate towards Zelenskyy. The comedian who didn’t escape Kyiv during Russian offensive, and has repeatedly made close frontline visits, demonstrating what a craven pussy that „ex-KGB tough guy“ Putin really is.

The fact that that one dude led a mutiny mercenary rebellion headed towards Moscow a few years back and then just stopped was probably the last opportunity people had.

    16. Adventurous_Fall2952 on

Seal it to entomb him. Check back in 100 years or so like a time capsule.

    17. I heard Hitler found a way to thwart any future assassination attempts while hiding in his bunker. Dunno, maybe Putin can try it to.

    18. justlurkshere on

So we have one world leader feeling words are dangerous and another strong world leader hiding in a bunker.

Xi must be in danger of laughing his behind off.

    19. Meanwhile a former comedian who became a Legend roams openly cities targeted by Putin.
Putin hides from his own people, Zelenskyj on the other hand is being protected by his people.
Tell me again, who is the comedian?!?

    20. That’s weird… did he do something to upset someone? Seems like such a nice guy, riding horses shirtless, doing karate, just regular guy things. /s

    21. The man has been a skin-bag filled with chemical infusions and paranoia for years now.

    22. SnowshoeTaboo on

One can see the obvious difference between cowards like Putin and Trump and a hero like Zelenskyy!

    23. Mother_Airline_6276 on

If this is true, I hope they keep him pinned down indefinitely. Or, ya know…

    24. RatenFirewalker on

Doesn’t he have a ballroom to protect himself from assassinations?

    25. TristanDuboisOLG on

When you start feeling like people want to kill you because of the way you behave, maybe it’s time to have a long look in the mirror?

    26. natethenuclearknight on

„I don’t need a ride, I need ammunition“ is one of the coldest lines delivered by a wartime leader

      Zelenskyy not hiding
