That might be a little too much to ask given the current state of affairs.

Offer: You receive: nothing, I receive: everything, you also get bombed

I’m sure a polite, strongly worded request from Germany is exactly what will finally make Iran abandon its entire geopolitical strategy.

Haha. That’s hilarious to consider what they said earlier.
Also considering they have done nothing to try to stop this.

    5. The problem with not having nuclear weapons is you become a target for attacks. Countries with nuclear weapons start attacking countries without them. Having the weapons ensures your safety it seems in this fucked up world. Interestingly, Ukraine used to have nuclear weapons. Ukraine relinquished them by 1996 for security assurances, returning the warheads to Russia and look how that worked out for them…

I’m not particularly fond of the Iranian „Government“, but why should they reopen it if it’s the only leverage they got? The US would just keep bombing them

Not our place to tell Iran what to do. America is wholly at fault for all of this.

    8. Can somebody show any evidence that Iran *was* intent on developing a weapon? They reached 60% enrichment, which is in line with medical applications. They have no serious delivery method (unlike North Korea) – I’m not saying they weren’t, just that if anybody presented anything definitive I must have missed it.

Russia has essentially shut down any chance of other countries denuclearing

That fucker putin destroyed any chance of World peace, hope he rots in hell

    10. Iran now knows it’s their only path to survival and not being attacked by Israel / US again. You can ask them nicely as often as you want. They have shown them now exactly why they need them. They were ready to give up on them and make a deal in february, then Israel bombed them. Now the US demonstrated that they can’t force them to stop militarily, so there is literally nothing stoping them anymore.

You know what’s funny. Like, I dunno… maybe I’m over simplifying.

Russia tells Ukraine to give up Nukes. Invades.

America goes around doing the same thing. But keeps all theirs.

If you’re Iran, you’d see America as Russia. A country dictating who can have what.

What would you do if you’re Iran. I mean, I’m not voting for anyone or rooting for any team. But from an outside perspective, why do exactly what Russia did when you win more friends with honey.

This strong arm tactic and domination never works. Americas just as bad in my opinion and always has been. Now they’re just have an admin that don’t care.

I wonder what other nation in the middle east illegally has nuclear weapons and doesn’t allow for international watchdogs into their nuclear facilities and denies even having them. With missiles that can reach all of Europe.

I think Iran should have the same amount of nuclear weapons as that country.

Checks out, use strong words and take 0 action to stop Iran from nuclearizing and let America do your dirty work

Iran has never been developing a nuclear bomb. The late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei repeatedly said nuclear weapons are forbidden, and Iran has presented this as a religious fatwa banning the acquisition, development, production, stockpiling and use of nuclear weapons. The US intelligence agencies twice concluded that uranium enrichment had stopped short of weapons grade. The constant use of the lie that Iran was weeks away from building a bomb was done by Israel as a justification for attack. Developing a nuclear bomb isn’t that hard if you have a nuclear industry. It’s the delivery systems that are hard and Iran is decades behind what’s necessary to be a threat. North Korea has only just got the systems to hit North America after decades of help from Russia. The current Iranian government is cruel and evil and tyrannical but the US and Israel shoukd stop this false narrative. Though after how they’ve been treated you could understand if they said “fuck it, none of this shit would have happened if we had nukes. Let’s see what we can buy off the shelf.”
