As an engineer by training, no infrastructure gets me hornier than trains.
No idea of the feasibility but some over-nighters between the main sask and AB centers would be sick AF as well.

The problem with the line to Whistler (Squamish Subdivision) is it looks like something a child scribbled in crayon on a place mat with speed restrictions as low as 32km/h.
You can restart service, but you’re not going to get anything terribly good out of the existing infrastructure.
