A SpaceX Falcon 9 launch across Earth’s twilight horizon, seen from the ISS while orbiting the Southern Atlantic Ocean. I think this photo is a great visual of the layers of our atmosphere and how rockets leave them! I took this on Expedition 72 with Nikon Z9

    2. What would the approximate distance between the ISS and the Falcon 9 in this shot?

    3. Absolutely incredible image. Idk that I’ve ever seen this particular type of subject pictured before. Has it been done before from any other launch or is this a first of its kind?

It looks just like dust on an old film strip – that is, until you zoom in. 😎 Cool!

This is the best space photograph I’ve ever seen. How was this shot coordinated? The logistics are insane for this to even be possible to capture.
