I’m sure someone from the Red team will claim that there was some sort of Communist Socialist Pro-vaxx anti-Christian Un-American lgbtqia dinosaur revisionist history cabal that fixed the election.

And this is why Republicans are doing everything they can to steal the November elections.

What should be a shock/surprise/major concern for GOP is that the effects of the Iran war haven’t fully played out. There are the fertilizer price increase which will affect food prices, and other things that take months to play out. And we’ll start seeing more clearly those things before the election.
Bad news for Democrats: They still have to put forward good candidates, craft good messages, and not screw up, but then again, we’ve seen how this plays out….

No wonder Republicans are trying to suppress the vote.

This could very well be a tipping-point for Trump which could lead to his impeachment after midterms. But for that to happen, two of three things would need to happen:
* The Democrats win the House of Representatives. This is incredibly do-able.
* EITHER the Democrats gain a two-thirds majority in the Senate, which would require them to achieve a net-gain of 20 senators, meaning they’d need to win all but two of the 35 seats being contested. And I don’t see the Democrats winning in places like Iowa, Montana, South Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska and Alabama…
* OR Republican senators, seeing the massive reputational loss their party has garnered, are convinced to turn against Trump, vote to convict him and bring in Vance as a caretaker president.

mayoral race in Pearland, Texas, a Republican-leaning suburb of Houston in Brazoria County that has consistently voted for President Donald Trump since 2016. Save you a click.

This is the kind of warning bell I see that make me believe that our (yes I live in Texas) gerrymandered map is going to fail in epic fashion. (Yes I’m in support of this). 😬🤓

Here’s the latest and greatest Dog Whistles the Conservatives/GOP will be kicking around as we approach the mid-terms. Get used to MAGA’s slinging them.
**The „Big Thing“ for 2026: The Competence Crisis**
The most significant shift this cycle is the move from moral attacks to **functional fear**. By linking terms like „DEI“ or „Low IQ“ to physical safety—such as airline maintenance or medical care—the rhetoric attempts to frame prejudice as a matter of „common sense“ survival.
### 2026 Coded Rhetoric: Modern Terms, Origins, Tropes, and Sources
Another domino in the well deserved decline of the GOP…

Let’s stay grounded because Pearland isn’t a Republican stronghold like the headline wants you to believe. Brazoria County voted 59 – 40 Trump in the 2024 election but that includes the entire county with all of the Republican towns down the coast.
Pearland itself is pretty purple and the western precincts of the city voted in Al Green as their representative and voted for Kamala in 2024. The city has elected Democrats before. The final result in this mayoral race was 51 – 49 so this is a 2 – 3pt swing at most, but we’ll take wins where we can get them. However this is not anything Republicans are sweating over I assure you.

Politics are local, well except that most of the gerrymandering is state controlled, but DEMS will take the WIN!
