It’s curious how the solution is always the same, more Government regulations. The Article doesn’t even mention the parent’s role in this trend. To me, doesn’t sound like it’s the “Kids” they’re worried about. It’s the fact that the mono-culture and singular message is gone.

Perhaps opening the flood gates to people who bring with them their historical grievances to Canada wasn’t the best idea.
The children feel more connected to the country their parents left, than the country that is giving them new opportunities.
It’s always X-Canadian. No one sees themselves as “Canadian”.
I remember reading an article about how new immigrant parents quickly adopt to the new nation, but as times get hard, their children believe it was a mistake to have moved. And as a result glorify the country they left. Never experiencing the circumstances that caused their parents to leave.
I say this as a child of immigrants. Who only sees themselves as Canadian. As I know no other place.

Maybe the government should go after the places this is happening, games like Roblox are known cesspools that prey on children. They should require better moderation or be blocked in Canada.
And on the other hand, parents should keep a better eye on their own children. There is a tone of software out there to moderate and review your children’s activities online.
Instead we will end up getting the stupid online identity verification bullshit.

No shit, you brought in people with radical views.

Ban social media for teens, it’s flooded with rage-bait and propaganda, brainwashing the masses. Some are doing it to farm views while others are willingly attempting to push harm onto others.

It would be interesting to see what groups or types of groups are considered „radical“ and what groups are given a pass.

Make youth sports free, encourage companies to hire local kids in their communities for part time jobs, build parks and third places for teenagers to have a place to be that isn’t home and as school.

People will say parents should keep a better eye on their kids but then ignore the fact that that’s getting harder and harder to do. Guess the falling birth rates is a parent problem eh?

Hmm I wonder why so many young people spend their time online instead of going out with friends every weekend and making lasting connections.
I will use my situation as an example. I would love to go out every weekend with my friends but I don’t want to live paycheque to paycheque like a lot of my friends. I did the calculations. If I go out with my friends one weekend a month, the rest staying home or keeping low I save approximately $375 a month. That’s $4500 a year. I use that money to invest. Even with low risk investment strategy you can double that in ten years. That’s $90,000 after ten years. Enough for a downpayment on a house in most of Ontario.
Young people have to do both limit themselves and invest their savings in order to have a home in this country. Things people 20 years ago didn’t have to do to afford the basics – a home, a family, a life with purpose. Young people have every right to be extremists.

With the way things are going in Canada no wonder things like these happen. Unlike the previous generations for the young folks starting a career is significantly more difficult. When you see that nothing works for you then extremism may become the only refuge. The only way to break a world that basically rejects you.

This article reads like anti-encryprion propaganda, designed to help the anti-encryption lobbyists behind Bill C-22, and the anti-privacy lobbyists behind the push for mandatory age verification.
You should tell the government to reject Bill C-22 in its current form, and to ignore ongoing lobbying from CSIS and police departments.
The blanket metadata retention and encryption backdoor requirements of Bill C-22 are illegal in the European Union. Data retention and encryption backdoor requirements will cause encrypted messaging services like Signal, WhatsApp, iMessage, Matrix, and others to block Canadians and Canadian businesses from their services.
