      Ukraine needs to incentivize the shit out of it. Coupling with drones and robots, soldiers might not feel that it’s too risky for their life. It could be a win.

      So that’s about $9k USD. Is that yearly? Is it a living wage in Ukraine? Not sure what cost of living there is and if this is meaningful.

    4. We were just talking about this yesterday with Syrskyi’s announcement of rotation mandates. It seemed very much in character for Syrskyi to only do such a thing once he was sure of having the human resources to back it up.

      Considering it closely, it immediately appeared that, were that the case, it would mean an even more significant achievement for Ukraine than merely improving rotations on the front: it would mean that Ukraine had cracked its manpower problem generally, really for the first time in the war.

      And, lo, and behold, here are the accounts of that exact thing starting to come in.

      It’s a bad time to be Putin. Or a Putin supporter.
