    1. And then he immediately said that the naval fleet would head towards Cuba “on the way back from Iran.”

He got bored with Iran and now he’s playing with Cuba.

    2. >“On April 7, 2026, I ordered a two-week ceasefire. The ceasefire has since been extended. There has been no exchange of fire between United States forces and Iran since April 7, 2026,“ Trump wrote to Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday. „The hostilities that began on February 28, 2026, have terminated.“ …

      >Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth previewed a version of the administration’s argument before the Senate Armed Services Committee, suggesting the 60-day clock can „pause or stop“ during a ceasefire.

      >Democrats rejected that view, arguing the ongoing naval blockade still constitutes hostilities. Republicans, however, appeared more open to the administration’s interpretation. …

      >Trump has made clear that he remains open to future military actions, and that he considers those to be separate engagements for the purposes of the War Powers Act.

A rhetorical game to get around the War Powers Act.

So the blockade of Iran is over? As far as I know a blockade is an act of war.

    4. I feel like this whole admin is just one big alcoholic binge. And we’re all picking up the enormous tab.

    5. If he walks away from this with things as they stand, I am going to be so mad. The situation now is arguably worse than it was before, especially with the new ayatollah being a puppet for the IRGC. I thought the goal was to dismantle the islamic republic, not just kill its leader and leave an objectively worse situation at the top of the iranian political system.

      The latest grift.

Military action is over before 60 days.

Iran War II: Electric Boogaloo in a week to get an additional 60 days.

    7. Hostilities terminated with no deal, no peace deal. Iran is still clearly in charge and Trump wants out of all obligations. The nation that spends less than $10 billion/year on its military has the nation with the proposed $1.5 trillion dollar military budget by the balls.

    8. Well yeah its friday, time to bring down the price of oil before threating to nuke iran on Monday right after his stock purchases are confirmed. This is the 4th? week he has done this

I thought just 30 minutes ago he presented Iran with an ultimatum of destruction unless they made an agreement they obviously will not do.

So Iran won and the rest of the world is stuck with high gas prices.

    11. Are they really, or will he instead resume the war, claiming its a new instance of hostilities and thus resets his 60 days?

    12. Monday headlines „They have WMD, must start war again“ to drive down the markets.

The WHOLE FUCKING WORLD can see the grift and corruption from the USA. I’m just an old lady from the arse end of Australia, and it is as clear as his lack of a soul.

We curse you all maga: may you rot in the fetid corpse of a once great nation!

He’s just trying to loophole his way around the timelines of the War Powers Resolution. If he can convince congress that hostilities have ended, he may be able to say the clock is stopped on the 60-day limit on military engagement without congressional approval.

More lies from the lying liar who lies.

    14. America has become a laughingstock. Republicans can’t govern for shit. They simply cut taxes for the wealthy at the cost of healthcare for the poor and then break everything they can.

    15. Ahahaha! What a laughingstock this guy is. Total imbecile to increase Iran’s power, alienate allies, and cause everyone to pay more for fuel while having the world’s most powerful military. Exposes how much of a paper tiger the US really is. And all to hide that he raped children.

    16. Oh, thank god this war has ended for the fifty-eighth time since it began. Somebody go dust off Dubya’s banner.

    17. Lmao hundreds of millions of dollars gone, lives lost and all to end up conceding power and control of the strait of hormuz over to Iran in a way they’ve never been able to claim. So victory to Trump looks like no regime change, in fact iran now has a younger more radical leader, no long term assurance iran will not develop nuclear weapons, elevated Iran as a legitimate regional power and solidified them as a drone systems manufacturer.

What a strange definition of victory.
