Problem?
as long as basmati rice stays in stock
let them eat bread
Well, you get what you voted for so 🤷🏻♀️
Yet they decided to ask farmers to continue to reduce production to maintain prices instead of, idk, reducing potential oversupply by refilling their reserves.
Feels like a good use, actually caring about costs affecting your average guy.
lol, the tiny price reduction that lasted a few months?
I am still angry about the NHK report blaming foreign tourists to exacerbating the rice shortage.
Me (mouth full of basmati rice and Brazilian beans): man that’s craaaazy
Thai rice is better.
Let’s hope nankai mega earthquake doesn’t hit anytime soon
Japanese rice is more common in US than ever. Every Japanese grocery and most Chinese and Korean grocery stores have rice from Hokkaido and sometimes Niigata. The packaging is partially in English, so this was packaged to be sold in the US. The exchange rate makes it too financially enticing not to sell overseas. 5kg bag costs around $25. 10kg around $45 in the SF Bay Area.
This prime minister seems both unstable and stupid.
USA must be infecting Japan worse than they thought
Jesus Christ, No More Rice!
You know what would help? Antagonizing cheap labor and tourists!!!
