At 7.55 the morning Ireland presenter cueing up the metrologist said summer had begun. The metrologist didn’t correct her unfortunately.

I really think there should be more done to promote these traditional festivals here. They are a really important part of Ireland’s cultural heritage, but outside of Samhain/Halloween, they seem quite buried in terms of recognition. Would be nice to see RTE doing something live for Bealtaine from the likes of Uisneach to spread awareness of the festivals more.
