Thankfully we have the liberals in charge. Just look at all the great things they’ve accomplished in the last 11 years. Housing is affordable, incomes going up, zero homelessness, zero inflation, huge growth in our GDP, no government waste, corruption or virtue signalling and our young people are not at all hurt by the politicians voted in by the baby boomers. What a great time it is for Canada. Can it get any better under 3 more years of Carney? The man is a saint so I’m sure it will. Elbows up!

You mean tripling down on giving a neoliberal party headed by someone with experience spearheading neoliberal economics is having its expected economic effects? I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.
Thankfully the Libs have a majority. No more pesky cons to slow down the progress of closing this gap.

>and the numbers show that Canadians in the 65-plus category earn more than double those in the 15-to-24 age range,
So canadians that have spent their entire lives in the work force are earning more than literal children and people just entering the work force?
No way.. shocker I tell you.

Reddit likes to suggest otherwise, but there will be a massive generational transfer of wealth from the boomer to their children in the next decade.

I’m curious to see how it plays out. On one hand it’s very clearly going to lead to a disproportionate inherited wealth issue that will echo for decades.
On the other hand, the inheritors often seem dumber than bricks and will blow it on crypto mining scams and Sephora bags, so it’s really anyone’s game.

It will never get back ! That’s how capitalism works :
– those who have assets – multiply them ( not all, but generally most of them )
– those who don’t have assets have less chances on getting them cause they are already „taken“ !
It’s a destructive pyramid which makes the newer generations poorer, poorer and poorer….

The problem is you can only vote for the people that will continue to make it bad or the people that will make it even worse.

Honestly I feel like the matrix got it right. Human civilization peaked in the 90s. All downhill after that.

[The Boomers overwhelmingly support the Liberals](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/HFx8uw5bEAErwSf?format=jpg&name=large), so why wouldn’t the Liberals cater to the demographic that keeps them in power and their paycheques flowing?
