    1. Russian town ~~fears environmental disaster after Ukrainian drone strikes on refinery~~ feels a tiny bit of the pain that their own country has inflicted on Ukraine for four years

Maybe Russia can halt their unjustified invasion of Ukraine and allow the Ukrainian people to forge their own path.

Just be glad it isn’t Russia attacking you. They would be blowing up hospitals and hunting civilians.

Russia will need all their top minds to get together and figure out how they can stop being attacked by Ukraine

    5. my response to these Russians would be <insert „oh no“ animated gif from familly guy>

there is a simple way for them to stop this from happening….. maybe they should think about what ukranians have been experiencing for the last few years….

„We are worried about our environment“

Says the town who’s citizens went to a foreign land to bomb their fields, cities, and dams.

“After we murdered and raped your people, your strikes aimed at depleting our ability to build more weapons may have harmed our environment!”

Gosh, I guess there are no good guys in war. There’s only one fair and rational thing to do here: give up the Donbas and demilitarize completely.

    8. It might have something to do with that 3 day special military operation that’s been going on for 5 years now…

    9. Well then Russia……..

End YOUR war you started and this doesn’t need to happen:)

Holy shit! It’s almost like the answer has been there the whole time!

Russians finding out that someone attacking your country is bad. Who knew.

Did they fear an environmental disaster while they shot drones into the Chernobyl enclosure?

Funny, they didn’t worry about it when they were doing it to Ukrainians…?

    13. What’s amazing about this story is this is 1500km from Ukraine. Ukraine has hit these refineries not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES. Russia simply cannot stop them, and it shows.

And these refineries they keep hitting represent 40% of Russia’s oil export capacity. So, with them down, Russia is losing 40% of their export money daily. Even with oil prices at double what they used to be, it doesn’t matter if you can’t ship almost half of what you could before.

And, imagine trying to clean oil off the outside of your house or building. Even with proper cleaning materials, that’s gotta be impossible. Or imagine the effect on plants? It’s even worse and an oil spill on the ocean.

    14. Important thing to note: this is not a revenge. Ukraine doesn’t attack Russia’s oil infrastructure because Russians did the same and worse during last 12 years. Ukraine destroys Russia oil infrastructure to stop Russia from earning money it is going to spend to produce weapons and hire mercenaries that will cause even worce environmental issue. Ukraine does it to prevent worse harm to environment.

Ukraine has the only lever on Russia to prevent furter environment damage, further murders, and other war crimes: destroy everyting that finances war. Russians don’t care about people, they lost 1% of entire population as casualties and continue their war. But they care about money and when they don’t have money to continue their war, there will be a chance for peace.
