    2. hiraya-etal on

might only be me, unexpectedly the flavors in this album easily surpasses b0mb, i like it so much, i can’t pick a favorite yet

      srm > ily > mamilahpinatapai > bomb > nca

    3. This is my fav album so far.. I hope they give Mami (is it a title track but not actually a TT??) a MV.. I like it a lot

GRWM – Feels like ILLITs sound. Like this one a lot

It’s Me – Was scared from the snippets but the chorus is catchy stuck in your head type and the verses are good

paw, paw! – Very fun, reminds me of someone but I can’t think of who rn

Mamihlapinatatapai – Apart from me not knowing how to pronounce this (I’m so sorry) this song is so good as a tropical vibe. Feels right in time for summer

Love, older you – ILLIT slower songs like this are actually pretty rare surprisingly but I actually really like when they do them (e.g. Pimple). Good closer

Actually really enjoyed this album. Ordered it as I was listening to it because I enjoyed it so much which rarely happens

So I like every track on here better than it’s me
But I do like it’s me
And this is easily their best release to date

Let’s hope we get a whole freaking album next time hmm??

    6. FlimsyTie9109 on

This must be their best album ever for me now.

I loved all the songs, but i must say paw, paw caught me since the highlight medley and i was not disappointed, my favorite song in the album!

Arguably ILLIT’s best mini-album so far, both in terms of song quality and also diversity of sound.

Also one of the only comebacks I feel have lived up to the „hype“ this year.

    9. primrosepins on

      *grwm* is peak illit

I could listen to the *it’s me* pre-chorus on loop

*mamihlapinatapai* reminds me of a song from a mid-2000s teen movie.

All the handwringing about a concept change (visually/sonically) were for naught lol Everything was very illit 🤷🏻‍♀️

    10. wynterflowr on

I adore how the beat slows down in paw paw before the chorus. Is it just me or does this feel inspired by 2010s?

    11. wardengorri on

it’s all hits and bangers I’m afraid, might be their best and most cohesive yet.

    12. GRWM is a fantastic example of how to make a shorter song still sound full and compleat. It’s so dreamy and smoove, and that outro was beautiful. That added SO much to the song to fill it out.

I love It’s Me, it’s a high energy manic hyperpop/electro joint that really gets in your skull. It’s a refreshing face slapper of a song that clearly differentiates itself from their previous work, and the pre-chorus is particularly good.

paw, paw’s rapid fire talk-singing is quirky and funny, and the instrumental is nice. It’s cute.

Now Mamihlapinatapai is MA SHIT! So retro, so 80s, the wetness and reverb on the drums are perfect, and the synths are so romantic and gorgeous. And the way the song fades out instead of ending sharply is exactly like so many of the songs of the era. This is superb, one of their best B-sides easily.

Back to dreamy with Love, older you. Wow when the chorus comes in at 0:43, it gave me chills, so lush and heartwarming. I LOVE dreampop influences in K-pop. All the instruments combine in such a tasteful way, the piano, acoustic guitar and especially their voices. When they sing in unison and harmonize, damn they sound frickin good. The stripped back bridge leading into the outro, wow.

Early candidate for Album of the Year honestly. It’s Me is a great earworm but the B-sides are magnificent. They’ve truly achieved a new level of artistry with this release, I knew they could and would.

    13. Pristine_Cod5189 on

Early favourite is Mamihlapinatapai, but I like all the songs on here. The hook on It’s Me is crazy, and I like the slower feel on Love, older you.

    14. DifficultRoyal4045 on

Paw, paw! is an interesting experience so I need a second listen to digest it (which normally I do before writing a review so my thoughts are incoherent and not very expressive). But early favorite is Love, older you. It’s me being my least favorite says nothing about this album though because look at the material we have here 🫠🫠🫠

    15. FabKittyBoy on

I’m starting to think that paw paw might be their promoted bside this era, although mamihlapinatapai could still work, i feel like paw paw may have a bigger impact and just sounds more consistent with It’s Me

Either way I Will be satisfied with whatever option

    16. moooyaaahooo on

      paw paw so fire

it’ll be like tick tack on the older album and blow up more than expected

    17. IceMysterious3056 on

This is rivaling maybe even surpassing Super Real Me for me. There are so many potential global hits, especially Paw, Paw. What did they even put in this song? Absolute peak track.

    18. OH GODLLIT.. this came at such a perfect time for me because i’ve been kinda losing my mind everyday listening to the same playlist cos everything else sounds boring.. but this Album is such an interesting and fresh experience ugh i especially love paw paw im convinced they put crack in that song

    19. GRWM – Could have been the title song, It’s just a very dreamy sound. It was already the favorite from the highlights, but once the ending melody started, I just totally lost it.

It’s Me – Feels like a virus song, It’s stuck in my head can’t get rid of it

Paw, paw! – The biggest surprise because we heard the bridge in the highlight medley, which is a totally different sound, but the glitchy tempo changing style is so new and I like it a lot.

MAMIHLAPINATAPAI – This felt like a Carly Ray Jepsen song and I love her vibe

Love, older you – Very cozy warm sound, I really want to see the lyrics to get the full picture

    20. I love Paw paw and Mamihlapinatatapai so much. Paw paw’s vibe reminds me of something but cannot put my finger on what.

    21. GTWM is amazing. I‘m mesmerized by this song. In general a really strong ep, I love em all, but GTWM is just THAT girl!! 💗

    22. **grwm**: this is so pretty and dreamy! so illit and it has a beautiful instrumental. the d&b is one of my favorite genres and i’m glad they tried it out too.

**it’s me**: this song is so fun! the verses are great. it’s not totally my type of song but i can really see it growing on me overtime for sure!

**paw paw**: the beat in the song is so good!! that bass.. i loved the slow down part. there’s a lot of auto-tune in this song which is an interesting choice. i think it makes for a unique vibe.

**mamihlapinatapai**: this feels nostalgic for me, i like the “amercianoooo” part and the effect on minju and wonhee’s voices in the second verse. a very interesting choice. and it unexpectedly continues into the last chorus. super interesting and unexpected.

**love, older you**: this is so beautiful, similar vibe to their songs like pimple, bamsopoong, etc. it is very pretty! i love their vocals here. it’s a very soothing song.

    23. paw, paw! is giving Selena Gomez “Bluest Flame.” I couldn’t stop moving to this song

I agree with others GRWM and Love, older you are dreamy songs I could see myself relaxing to during an early evening drive.

So proud of Illit. Releasing a whole batch of songs at once and having them ALL sound good is not an easy feat.

    24. ghostboypurrp on

Damn Hybe really going for big Club Banger title tracks at the moment that are clearly built for live performance between this, Pinky Up by Katseye and Le Sserafim’s Celebration. Tik Tok short songs with repetitive hooks and essentially 1 verse and maybe a small bridge to break it up at the end

It’s Me bumps, had me doing a little boogie. Seems to be a theme in Kpop who can do it better though at the Moment between Bang Bang by IVE, Jump by Blackpink, Le Sserafim’s Celebration and others im probably missing.

Overall this has to be Illits best project so far and the growth is pretty clear. Excited for the future

    25. Bluebell_in_Bloom on

Grwm: sweet dreamy song. A good addition to their bsides even it it remains more with fans than the general listeners.

It’s me: that who’s your bias part overstayed its welcome. It should have only been the opener and they replace the other parts with anything else. That part alone makes this my least favorite title from them. 5/10

Paw paw: probably my favorite on the mini and the one I see going back to the most. Its edm flavored done right. I do hope we get a stage of it.

Unpronouncable: it was incredible for the first 2 minutes. The warbling sound effect at the end made it fall off a cliff in my ranking. Its not the worst thing ever, but definitely lowers the quality of the song. Note: the fact paw paw is my favorite goes to show im not against voice effects if they are done right and contribute to the song.

Love, older you: similar to my view as grwm. Sweet and dreamy but really looks like its aiming to be for fans rather than the general.

Overall much better than the previews were leading me to believe but I cant say its my favorite relase of theirs. A solid 6.5/10 overall

    26. Caught me slightly by surprise how good this was. Really impressed, they’ve done very well.

Special mention to Love, older you, really beautiful introspective track.

Overall I’m just really happy for illit, they’re a great group that continues to improve and evolve, I’m so pleased for them.

    27. ellaellaeheheh17 on

this is such a great mini, the production is tight! I’m gonna be obsessed with it’s me and paw paw for the next month.

Every time I think I’ve reached peak illit i’m proven wrong.

GRWM- 9/10 i can listen to this. This is soooo illit and I love it. The soft melodic opening is perfect to me. I can’t get enough.

Its Me- 8.5/10 this is actually really good. The melodic pre-chorus makes it feel sooo much chosive, my only complaint is that it’s so short. Instant replay for me.

Paw,Paw- 8/10 I like this one, but I can’t really decipher their voices in this one because of the autotune. But it works and I want to see the dance that goes along with this lmao.

Mamihlapinatapai- 10/10. No notes. It’s sooooo laid back and giving me summer vibes. I can blast this in the car and cruise.

Love, Older You- 10/10 streams of tears running down my face. It feels like a love letter to their younger selves. I feel healed.

I love this album. Idc, it’s really good!!!

    29. fantastic album, anyone worried about the snippets has literally nothing to worry about. it’s one of their most fun albums

    30. my impressions:

album: A high-quality emphasis on Electronic styles and genres, while still carrying elements of ILLIT’s signatures that makes it feel uniquely forward in its electronic influences while sounding sweetly like ILLIT at the same time. That being said, in terms of overall cohesion, it’s a little confusing to follow- though there are incredible individual standouts that definitely will make my top songs of the year. 7/10

GRWM: ILLIT’s signature- dreamy, airy vocals, underneath a driving beat. Utilizing Liquid D&B and borderline-ethereal vocal arrangements and processing, this track feels straight off of ‘Super Real Me’ in all the right ways while still applying a fresh style and stellar production that separates it from that era. I’m ALL FOR THIS track. 8.5/10

It’s Me: This trend of techno-based, festival EDM beats is rapidly becoming the theme of 2026 releases. In this case, though… I can’t lie when I say this one is going to be stuck in my head for a while. The vocal chants and general vocal delivery is powerful yet still somehow airy (which makes it still feel like an ILLIT song to me), and the production is incredibly technical yet polished. I just… wish it were longer; that’s my biggest gripe with the song. 8/10

paw, paw!: When I saw that The Deep was on this record, THIS is what I lowkey expected to hear production/composition-wise on her credited track: this intersection of typical K-Pop and glitchy, electronic, Kawaii Bass/hyperpop feels SO kimj or effie coded. The use of slowdowns and glitchy vocal processing makes this song incredibly interesting to listen to, and is just one of a handful of K-Pop songs I can think of that are diving into the hyperpop spheres of influence. This song is a BANGER and my personal standout on this album. 9/10

Mamihlapinatapai: A sweet blend of Indie/Alt Rock tropes and ILLIT’s characteristic dream pop sound in a way that feels inherently easygoing and vibey to listen to. It’s giving a bit of a “The 1975” meets K-pop/dreamcore vibe, which I personally found quite enjoyable, though it suffers from a lack of energy in the overall vocal production (it could be pushed a bit more forward in the mix, especially given the genre influence). 6.5/10

Love, older you: A sweet, dreamy, almost downtempo country-ballad inspired track (especially in that I – bVII – vi – IV progression) that carries a bit more introspection in meaning and is incredibly comforting in sound and arrangement. While most K-Pop tracks coming out this year are usually more high-octane or hyperactive in sound, I live for these slower, sweet downtempo ballads, especially when combined with ILLIT’s airy vocal delivery that they’re recognizable for. 7/10
