Map projections are pretty arbitrary. Why not pick one where the place you live is in the middle?

How is this mapporn? It’s just a projection centered on Kamchatka

    4. … interesting Greenland placement. Worried about making NA look too large?

Interesting how there’s no borders on other countries displayed, yet they have one of the most well guarded and defined borders in the world themselves.

    6. It would unironically solve some issues. New Zealand being connected allows people to work north live south or reversed but especially Suez no longer being a canal but a whole strait sounds very nice.

    7. Philippines seemst to be placed more southandbwithout Mindanao. Also I don’t see Taiwan.

These comments are making me realise that here in Australia, it seems like Pacific centred maps and Greenwich centred maps are both used pretty regularly. Both look familiar to me.

    10. I mean that’s the map most lf eastern asia uses from what I’ve seen right? There’s nothing really weird about it, it’s just moving america to the right and splitting the antlantic rather than the pacific ocean in two… Which would be obviously preferable since those countries live right by said ocean so it’s more convenient I’d say
