      What about the the thieves that stole btc ATM and they stole no physical cash like they thought was in it

      This decision seems extreme… Wonder why they never take similar measures against banks and casinos..

      I’m not against it. As a Canadian, these things only exist in shitty convenience stores anyways and they’re just there to scam grandmas.

      Get rid of them, nobody uses them except scammers taking advantage of the elderly and their markups are disgusting anyway

      While I personally wouldn’t use a bitcoin atm banning them seems more aligned with the total control of the monetary system that the government seeks rather than protecting the elderly from scams.

      Take for example the truck convoy where the Liberals used the emergency act, which was later determined unreasonable. Somebody could use the atm to send bitcoin anonymously to support those individuals. And dont get me wrong, im not saying im for or against that cause, but its all fun and games until its your cause against the government.
