A good preparation for the meet would be the return to the Ukrainian state of the money and gold valuables during the robbery of Ukrainian state cash collectors by Hungary state.

If this works ,it could remove one of the biggest internal Eu roadblocks on ukraine

Last week, Magyar appointed Anita Orban (NO relations to Viktor Orban) to be Deputy Prime Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. That’s a very good sign. She wrote a book about the new Russian imperialism in which she urged Europeans to be united against Russia, so she is even more pro-EU than Magyar himself.

It’s disgusting that Orban used Ukraine for his own gain. I’m happy Hungarians didn’t buy it.

Don’t expect a very rosy relationship anytime soon, only thawing, and a constructive and normalized state of affairs.

4 years of 24/7 state-party brainwashing turned third of the population vehemently anti-Ukraine. Now that the propaganda is unplugged, it will still take time for the brainwashed half- and midwits to get better. So Magyar cannot be overly friendly even if he wanted to until the toxin is slowly washed out of the poisoned body of our nation.

I understand they’re planning to meet in a town near the UA-HU border with a large HU minority and minority issues will be a key topic. *Wouldn’t it be therefore wise for Zelenskyy to bring some visible members of the Hungarian minority with him?* Perhaps – the most visible member of said minority? I understand he is preoccupied with setting the Russian petrochemical industry ablaze, but this might be worthwhile. He can bring some useful visual aids as well. Not to mention he’s basically Péter’s namesake; noms-de-guerre count, right?
