I don’t think it was staged because the manifesto trashed Trump.
Everything leading up to this event, their actions during and after the event, as well as their call to action after the event was planned and coordinated

Apparently, they failed at security.

Since the orange buffoon has been in politics he has ruined the Secret service and now the FBI both are the laughing stock of the world. The other three letter agency is the biggest criminal in the world which everyone knows that also.
