      I, for one, am excited for TBL’s new chapter without any involvement from YGE.

      Well, it has been quite obvious for quite some time that this was the direction the company was taken. I am not sure why anyone who has been playing attention would be surprised. Taeyang has an album coming soon and a world tour with BIGBANG, Rosé is probably working on a follow-up to her first album, Somi has an IOI reunion coming up, Meovv and ADP are likely to release more music soon (and are doing lots of ads) and Park Bo-gum is booked and busy. Not to mention their involvement with K-pop Demon Hunters. Could they be releasing more music? Yeah. Do they know how to bring in money through different revenue streams? Absolutely.

      If Tencent invests and they promote more in China then they’ll be fine.

      The people who think TBL is now going to drastically change how they manage their groups are going to be disappointed. They seem even less capable than YG recently (looking at you MEOVV)

      They could cut the ownership but the history of them being born from YG is still there. Besides, the company logo still reminds me of YG and Blackpink.

      I guess this is more investor related news and doesn’t say much about whether there will be more music.

      YG sound is basically Teddy minus big bang of course. if they can get Tencent to invest they might end up doing better than YG in the long run.

      The way the actual business story is a far cry from this which takes a more histrionic view for reasons unknown.

      I am rooting for TBL since im big Somi and Meovv fan (also fan of actor Kwak Dongeyon that recently joined).

      There clearly has been some delays with Meovv since the girls have been talking about cb for quite long but the cb announcement should be soon since the spoilering has come quite concrete. Hoping before Taeyang album, but probably latest soon after he drops his album.

      Somi’s treatment has been surprisingly good lately, even if its not really TBL doing the heavy lifting. She had a cb August -> fancons -> movie filming -> ioi comeback -> there were some reports of her having also summer comeback (but that ofc isnt confirmed). Also she is doing her weekly imos youtube.

      Im hoping the release time will become more frequent in the future but in any case i dont think tbl is a bad company to be in

      Very much not surprised by this. When the black label was created it seemed very much in such a way that separation was possible in the future.

      It is awkward because TBL has so many former YG stars though. I also worry about finances. We will see how it all plays out

      With Rosie’s success and KPop Demon Hunters they have an opportunity to really do something.

      their dna is yg so this won’t change anything unless they overhaul their staff and mentality. doesn’t really matter for the established people like taeyang and rose, but a rookie group like meovv is suffering because tbl/teddy is reheating stale yg tactics instead of promoting properly.

      I think the black label company is making a meovv experiment group. after teddy involve at YG about 2y lately i hope he pushh meovv and try invite gdragon in produce hahaha

      Hopefully this is great news for MEOVV. They have like 5 songs and they all slap!

      TBL has real potential tbh. Especially among Western K-pop fans, TBL’s reputation isn’t nearly as bad as YG’s, which makes it feel like—with the right moves—they could build some really strong IPs. You can already see Western Blinks shifting toward MEOVV, and Teddy should definitely capitalize on that. It’s not too late for MEOVV at all.

      Also, compared to YG, Teddy seems way more open to change. imo artistically and aesthetically they’re already strong, they just need to be more aggressive with promotions and music releases. ADP could help them establish a solid identity in Korea, while MEOVV has the potential to push TBL further on a global scale.

      YGE still have 14.55 percent Share Holder at The Black Label , Teddy 42 percent and Saehan Investment 28 percent

      YG thinks they will do fine without BL so good for them. Let’s see what’s what. If I were Black Label I would’ve cut ties right after BM debuted. It’s like when Nike releases a Cactus Jack sneaker and then releases their own version of it in a Dunk or AF1 form and calls it some other colorway.
