Wait, I’m confused. There were tons of maga folks on here telling us that donors were paying for this.

Is the ballroom some kind of secret code or something? Why is Trump hung up on this?

You know you’re burning through a lot of cash when a Republican gets nervous about all the spending.

Debt republicans have approved. They solicited, approved, and funded this. Every fucking cent.

The GOP is a goddamn cancer

„Ballroom Republicans“ should be a constant phrase coming from Democrat Reps and Senators now. Please do everything you can to make a nation of lonely, incel, misogynist men defend the need for ballrooms from the cabs of their pristine trucks.

So with this thought process when should be able to fund social program since we are already in debt.

You can thank your Felon President for that.

Last I saw, he was responsible for 27% of all that debt.

Party of law and order yeah?

    Party of fiscal responsibility? Yeah?

Trump has created over a fourth(!) of the national debt, so these people aren’t about to start saying no to him because he wants to spend more money, bankrupt the country, etc.

They’ve never done shit before, and they ain’t about to start now!

    >“A meeting space that is secured on the White House grounds that would allow people to do what they did at the Hilton hotel is necessary,” Graham said. “I’m convinced that had there been a presidential ballroom adjacent to the White House, the guy would have never gotten in.”

Everyone who is saying this is conveniently leaving out the fact that the president was only a guest at this event that would have never been held at the White House to begin with.

Fiscal conservatism? Haha, isn’t that cute. There hasn’t been a Republican that gives a hoot about the federal budget since Eisenhower. Every Republican Administration since has at least doubled the national debt.

But somehow all those supposed conservative voters still think that the bitchy old Republicans in Congress are good for the economy.

And the dichotomy of their ideology is bizarre. There’s always unlimited money for wars, but never enough for universal health care. Plenty for pet projects, but not enough to fix social security. We’re financing private companies and their space adventures, but have no money for anything that doesn’t funnel cash into billionaire pockets.

Remember when tariff revenue was going to pay off the national debt? Anyone recall when tax cuts for corporations were going to stimulate the economy so much, that the corresponding revenue increase from a booming economy would offset deficit spending, the fundamental justification for „trickledown?“

Seems like the main goal of modern conservatism is to bring the Christian version of Sharia to America. Beyond that the secondary goal seems to be wealth stratification, make the rich richer and everybody else gets to fight over the scraps.

As soon as the Democrats get voted into office and start acting like fiscally responsible adults, the adult-children of this country will look at them like they caused all the problems and vote conservatives back in. Rinse and repeat.

$400M for a ballroom but no healthcare subsidies, school lunches or childcare. Show me your checking account and I’ll show you your priorities.

    >“I don’t know why you would do it” with taxpayer money “if it’s all funded,” Scott told NBC News.

That’s what we’re all wondering, Rick. Maybe you could use the fact that you’re a *sitting United States Senator* to get an answer.

  14. Hey Rick, Scott
I have a great idea. Why don’t you donate 200 million out of the 400 million you stole from the American people and the government when you were the CEO of Columbia health.

  15. They don’t care. Spend spend spend, as long as those $$ go to their companies. And wait for dems to control and then scream deficit !!!

  16. It should be known by now that the „ballroom“ is just the outward-facing edifice of the constructions true purpose, which is twofold:

-Provide a reinforced bunker for the Administration
-Provide an ultra-secure data silo for command and control continuity

Now we must ask: against whom does this administration think they need *even more protection?*

    1. The White House Correspondents Dinner was NOT a political function, and it certainly wasn’t a White House function. Trump did NOT need to be there.

    2. Trump is trying to steal our money for his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS, and the DOJ is making a deal with him.

    3. Trump is already shaking down colleges, private businesses, tv channels, and museums for having DEI and they’re giving him money to quit going after them.

    4. Trump has pardoned dozens of convicted felons who stole billions of dollars. Those pardons have stopped restitution to victims to the tune of $2 billion.

    5. Does Trump never plan on going out in public again? Think for a moment why he’s pushing for a bunker. Is he planning on starting a nuclear war? Is he planning a government coup and hold out in the bunker if he’s 25th Amendment-ed or when his term is up in 2028?
