    1. democrats aren’t bought and paid for by the right they just are the right

A little soon to be shitting the bed there, Jeffries. The least you can do is pretend to have an ambition to hold MAGA accountable.

talk about a tone deaf response. jesus. democrats love to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

this country is literally pleading for someone to do something about the madman threatening civilization and he’s like ‘well we’re going to take a look at all these things that sounds nice but won’t actually get solved’

because they have no senate support. it would be the same exact thing as previously, the gop senate will not convict and it would just go away.

    5. Greenzombie04 on

Democrats 1st priority should be getting new leadership, get rid of Jeffries and get rid of Schumer.

Democrats, yet again snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
The reason we are in this mess now is because Democrats did not hold traitorous Republicans accountable after their first coup attempt.

In the article, Dems whine about not having the votes. Which is currently true.
But the question put to them is, what happens if they gain the majority?
Giving the treasonous, white supremacist, corrupt Republicans another pass is not what we want to hear.

    7. I hate it, but I have to think that he’s caused enough damage that without senate support to remove him impeachment doesn’t make sense.

    8. While impeachment is certainly warranted by the administration’s innumerable violations of the Constitution, that same document sets an insuperably high bar for removal from office. Even in the immediate aftermath of the J6 insurrection there were insufficient Senate votes to convict. An impeachment resolution would have to be impossibly long to charge Trump with all his offenses, and therefore impossible to present without consuming all the House’s resources. Jeffries is only stating the facts. However, it’s equally true that any legislation they pass will face death by veto even if a bare Democratic majority is gained in both chambers, so why not impeach? Put the case before the public.

Trump committed a double-tap war crime on a school of girls in Iran. Impeachment should be the FIRST rule of business on Jan 3, 2027.

How many times has Trump been impeached already? Twice… two times. And guess what, nothing happened… nothing… absolutely nothing. WTF waste time and do it again.

And this is how you lose another election, Democrats must despise seeing Mandani accomplish things we have been told were impossible for decades.

    12. Exciting-Idea9866 on

I would start with the cabinet. Kash, and hegseth would be easy targets. They are not enough Republicans in the senate with a spine to convicted Trump, but the other 2 are a different story.

There is also the art of war doctrine. Don’t interrupt your enemy when he is destroying himself. Trump is constantly inflicting self wounds, they dont need to give him a lifeline.

However, if he gets really insane, tries to drop nukes or something along this lines, then all bets are off and he should be impeached.

I do agree that new leaders are needed in the Democrat party. Schumer is weak and Jeffries hasn’t impressed me.

    13. Didn’t they say that before? Like during Trump’s first term?

      I feel like I’ve heard this before…..🤔

Way to lose elections. How about you do the will of the people for a change?

    15. bernedtwice on

He and s Huber need to go. Immediately. How’s that for a first priority?

    16. Oceanbreeze871 on

The problem with impeachment is that Trump won’t be removed by the senate, and his last 2 impeachments unified the right and improved his support playing the victim card.

I still think it must be done. Trump commits impeachable offenses on a daily basis

    17. Complete-Moment3106 on

If keeping his job is a top priority he should reconsider. He will be voted out if he doesn’t proceed with impeachment.

    18. MaligatorMom2 on

It fucking better be or Jeffries and Schumer need to be relieved of their leadership positions.

    19. gmoney-0725 on

This is why Jeffries needs to go! He’s just awful and at the wrong time.

    20. FamouslyGreen on

Controlled by AIPAC and willing to do nothing.

      Vote accordingly in midterms folks.

Look at who funds your candidates. Those who gave the most will be the ones your candidates performs for.

    21. Priority should be getting Epstein files fully released. Trump will go down when the truth comes out.

    22. With the current Democrat leadership, somehow they win back the Whitehouse in 2028, Merrick Garland will be the Attorney General and Kevin Warsh could gets to keep his job.

    23. Puzzleheaded-Will249 on

The Democratic Party is controlled opposition, there to make us believe there is hope, when there isn’t. There are a few good democratic politicians, but the party as a whole is owned by corporate power.

    24. picklestixatix on

Anyone who doesn’t make impeachment a priority is almost certainly in the files.

    25. Beneficial_Party_225 on

I hope he clarifies his statement by adding a public execution without any trial or impeachment and I’d feel much more eager to support his efforts.

    26. I’m save you a click “I’ve made clear from the very beginning that our top priority is going to be to drive down the high cost of living,” the House minority leader added.” Dony you think that’s what’s most important to the majority, what will impeachment accomplish if they can’t remove him?

    27. Low_Voice_2553 on

Then what is asshole?! Fund raising for the 2028 elections?!
This useless fuck should not be House leader.
He needs to be primaried! If not I can only hope the house members don’t vote him as leader!
He doesn’t fight for the American taxpayer!
He doesn’t fight for his members who are being targeted by AIPAC because he takes money from AIPAC.

    28. Old_Tomorrow5247 on

Given that you need a 2/3 vote in the Senate to convict, which will never happen, why bother with another impeachment vote?
