      Canada? I thought francophones from Quebec spoke English as a second language. Also wtf Denmark and Finland

      Fun fact – the second largest english speaking country in the world is India, but the number of english speakers is still a small proportion of the total population

      In Canada, the stats are a little misleading with this. “Have the ability to speak English” is not the map title, but most Québécois know English but speak French in day to day life at home, etc.

      So given the data, it’s likely around 88-90% of Canada CAN speak English.

      There are so many errors here, most notably canada. The vast majority of francophone quebeccers also speak english. 98% of the country speaks english.
