Matthew Lillard sagt, Nostalgie sei „einer der Gründe“, warum Hollywood „mich wieder anheuert“: „Ich glaube nicht, dass mich irgendjemand wirklich mag.“ Sie vermissen einfach die alten Zeiten.

    1. > “’Scooby-Doo’ one and two are more popular now than they ever were when they came out. So I do think there’s a weird nostalgia thing happening in our industry and in the zeitgeist because I think that people are longing for ye olde times,” Lillard said. “I think that’s one of the reasons I’m having this moment to be honest, is because I was identified in that moment, so people are hiring me again.”

      > He later added with a laugh, “I think that’s why I’m working. I don’t think anyone really likes me. They just miss the old times.”

Matthew Lillard’s films are now old enough they are classed as nostalgia

    3. You were really good in the latest season of “Cross”! Made me hate your character (but not you). That’s a good actor!

I’ve always loved Matthew ever since the original Scream days. Thirteen Ghosts was fantastic. Even his newer role in Daredevil: Born Again is amazing. He recently even appeared in an Ice Nine Kills music video.

I was so excited when he popped up in Bosch.  For some reason he always makes me think of without a paddle more than scooby doo

They are rehiring you because you’re a great fuckin actor. SLC Punk is an all time favorite.

If it helps, I didn’t even recognize Lillard in the Twin Peaks revival (only found out that was him after the fact) and still loved his performance. He’s still got it!

His character in Good Girls was fuckin mint. His personality and heart in real life is what gets him so much love. I wish he could see himself the way we all do: with light and admiration.

15 years ago when I was pursuing acting, I audited a weekend intensive he was teaching in Vancouver. This was during one of his quiet periods in his career. I didn’t know much about him. He taught with such a genuine passion for the craft, it left me a life long fan. I’ll always respect the guy.

Bro needs some confidence. He’s a good actor and we all like him. Sure, he got his start clean unlikable dudebros, but that doesn’t mean that he can only do that, it just means that was one thing he was good at when he was younger. Matthew Lillard is great.

Nobody is nostalgic for anything they dislike lol. If they’re nostalgic for him it’s because they liked him all along!

If we’re being real, he probably IS getting cast more often because people are very vocal about how much they love him now…

But that’s not because of nostalgia, it’s because he seems like a lovely person and a great actor and also I want him to be my dad

u/matthewlillard just to see if I can summon him as He’s known to hang out on Reddit from time to time.

Great actor who has a great cult following, with all the copt and paste type actors around it’s good to see a genuine character still going. That and his Shaggy was amazing

    15. He’s selling himself short. He is an actor who always shows up and gives his all no matter the job and just loves acting.

He’s a good actor who was underutilized. Tarantino’s asshole comments are probably helping make people realize that, too.

This gentleman ate at a restaurant I host at a few months ago. It was a party of 9, and — because of space restrictions — I had to put together a table for 8 with one seat at the end. As I set it up I was literally thinking, “sucks to be the guy who sits here.”

And who sat there? Matthew Lillard did!

Later he held the door open for me and when I told him that holding the door was my job he said he just wanted to assure me that chivalry is alive and well.

      Swoon. Put him in everything.
