    Ich habe gerade ein neues TV-Abonnement abgeschlossen, aber jedes Mal, wenn ich die Pause-Taste drücke, erscheint eine Werbung. Ist das hier jetzt normal? Warum muss alles kommerzialisiert werden?


    Ich bezahle bereits für SRF, habe ein TV-Abo und muss trotzdem Werbung schauen?

    Diese Kommerzialisierung hilft wirklich überhaupt nicht. Für all das sollte es eine Grenze geben.

    Zumindest war es eine Schweizer Werbung und nicht dieser amerikanische Müll, den wir hier jeden Tag sehen müssen.

    Ich frage mich, was Sie tun können, um diesen Trend zu stoppen?

      That’s not from the srg… that’s your iptv provider doing its customers dirty and in a way, that people blame the srg… absolute bs… watch the recording of the things on hbbtv (i think now they have to support it), they can’t detect pause there… also if you find bugs in the hbbtv of srg you can tell me, i’m one of the devs…

      Edit: appears to be srg… will see, who knows more, because this is really shit… see, who pushed that, maybe i can bring an update, but will take some time…

      This has nothing to do with „pay to watch SRF“. Since this ad is not from SRF.

      We don’t know where this ad is from. Maybe your TV, maybe your iptv provider.

      Serafe doesn’t make ads from iptv provider going away, which is very obvious IMO.

      I’ve stopped watching TV channels almost 10 years ago (when I left my parents‘ home) and I get intense anxiety when I go to someone else’house and they are watching something and 80% of the time there is an ad, you watch a series or a movie and you get 5-10 minutes ads every 30 minutes??? what the fuck

      I’ve been on adblock medications for 20 years, a single 3 sec adds me a lot of anxiety, I don’t even know what a youtube ad is

      You tell me they even added more ads ?

      Terrible.

      Sadly, you can’t stop this trend in general. But you could cancel your subscription. Because companies will keep doing this stuff as long as people will still use their product. Worth remembering that these ads come from your tv provider, not SRF. And not all providers do this when pausing.

      Buy a 200CHF mini-PC, install Kodi on it, be done with it. Pause / record TV programmes, watch stuff from SRF Play (there is a native plugin), integrate with your favourite internet radios, YouTube channels and your (perfectly legal of course :-)) local movie/music library. All in a single interface and handled from a single remote. No ads, no crap from your „smart“ TV (TV is acting as a big monitor essentially). You don’t even need IPTV, with [50CHF](https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/hauppauge-wintv-solohd-usb-dvb-c-dvb-t-tv-tuner-cards-7514113) and a bit of extra work, all this can be done with any cable TV provider.

      I have such setup for about 15 years now (back when it was called XBMC). It took time to configure, but once you do it, it’s forever – survived three different mini-PCs, two relocations and countless provider changes (just need to rescan/rearrange TV programs).

      You can host pihole or Adguard in your home network to avoid most to all commercials on tv, phone and PC.

      It’s a thing they agreed on because people were using replay to skip ads. So in order to keep replay this is what they came up with. And of course you still have to pay Serafe.

      I do get SRG and I see it for a few seconds when I switch my Playstation on. Ir always seems to be some really peinlich Frendschäm drivel about nonentities I am not interested i. Having to watch even more ads seems terrible. For TV I just dusted my pirate hat off I don’t wanna pay for Netflix anymore since it is becoming more and more enshittified and I don’t wanna pay subscriptions to exploitative US corporations. But I actually don’t watch much TV anyway.
