I have a feeling that, as the world starts to rise up against oligarchs, Russia and America will be havens for them.
This is the plan for all corrupt leaders when they are voted out. I hope now something is in place to freeze all assets of corrupt leaders until all trials are complete, and hopefully all the money accumulated while they, family members, cabinet members, and enablers in office can be confiscated by the government as part of a sentence. It will be a great way to pay down the debt they caused.

There are conspiracy theories (or more than that), that orban’s circle laundered money after the lost election.
Serious discussion aside, it’s wild to me that this dude is just straight up named Magyar. I don’t know how common that is, but it’s funny as hell imagining someone named American Smith becoming the president or something.

Their businesses, buildings and land are still in the country. The rich, when leaving any country, can only take liquid assets, while the actually important non-liquid assets which form a larger portion of their wealth cannot be moved so easily.
We’ll expand this to include „If we tax the rich, they’ll leave.“ Yes, they’ll leave, but their properties won’t.
Cancel their passports so they are trapped wherever they go.
Capital Flight is a real thing, and quite a few nations lack laws to prevent it for pretty obvious reasons.
