      If the companies just reduce the prices pre-tariffs, and then reduce a percentage more for a while, then that would be acceptable. The problem is these companies will raise prices now.

      When the tariffs began, no one was sure what to collect, on what, and where to send it. From the get go, Trump’s tariffs have been exactly the shitshow you would expect.

      As an accountant, I can tell you that every single tariff/tax payment was processed using a separate code so it could be easily identifiable from other taxes. It is entirely possible to tell who paid what in tariffs and reverse the process into a refund. Even at the individual customer level.

      Don’t let anyone tell you that the money is co-mingled and unidentifiable. It’s common practice to break it out line by line. People CAN be refunded.

      Ya no shit. When the administration set up this fund and method to claim refunds for illegal tariffs why wasn’t an estate calculated on what this tariff crap cost the average American family?

      Obama tried this after bailing out the banks in ‘09. The banks gave their executives bonuses instead. I’m sure it’ll work this time tho.
