It’s kind of interesting how after the biggest of the 10 to 20 million people countries which are Romania and the Netherlands both at around 18 mil, the next even more populous country is Poland at around 20 million more people. No European country is even in the 20-30 million gap and Poland and Ukraine are almost in the 40 millions. I think we make Australia (27 mil) honorary European just so we got someone in all size classes, that’s got to be a better option than having any of the bigger populations shrink 😳

  3. Yep, that’s the accurate metric considering how people live & work in „undermoscow“ in reality, which isn’t grasped by the classic 13.7 metric. 

    I live here for around 2 years, moved from Saint-P, and, well, the city is enormous, all the surroundings are full of people working there, infrastructure is insane. Moscow+surroundings is like its own macro-region in Russia.
