    Am from the part of India where ’narangi‘ is Orange color, while ’santra‘ is the orange fruit

    More interesting is what word for color orange was used before orange fruit became a default thing for that color

    Why is this being posted over and over? It could have been interesting but it’s not, because it’s full of errors AND is excluding a lot of languages.

    I’m guessing it’s a good one to post for engagement because of the errors, but I am so sick of seeing this garbage.

    Not specifically Telugu. All South Indian Dravidian languages have the word ’naranga‘ like my language Malayalam. So it can be said as Proto-Dravidian.

    its apelsyn in ukrainian, even tho its not included here. but orange color is pomaranchevyi, just like slovac orange as a fruit

    ? It’s appelsin in Norwegian, just like how it’s apelsin in Swedish. They say oransje for the colour, but not the fruit.
