Ich habe Bob Lazar immer geglaubt oder zumindest gedacht, dass er etwas Realem nahesteht.
Aber in letzter Zeit komme ich immer wieder auf eine Frage zurück: Wenn er wirklich die Wahrheit gesagt hat, warum lebt er dann noch?
Für Leute auf diesem Niveau fühlt es sich an wie Schach. Warum also ihn bei sich behalten? Das ist der Teil, der für mich keinen Sinn ergibt.
Wäre es nach heutigen Maßstäben nicht einfach, jemanden stillschweigend zum Schweigen zu bringen, wenn jemand etwas so Sensibles wüsste? Nichts Dramatisches, nur ein plötzlicher Herzinfarkt, ein medizinisches Problem oder ein Unfall.
Das ist es, was mich daran zweifeln lässt. Nicht wegen seines Klangs, sondern weil er, wenn er wirklich etwas Großes enthüllte, ihn jahrzehntelang weiterreden ließ?
Und wenn sie ihn absichtlich bei sich behalten, welchen Nutzen haben sie dann, wenn sie ihn weiter reden lassen?

Not a fan of lazar or his story, but killing him after he went public could serve to legitimise his story. They probably let him flap about like he has. It likely worked too as even today his claims never amounted to anything that that claims.

I’m more concerned about Luis Elizondo and people who claim to be whistle blowers yet they are allowed to publish books on „disclosure“, go on podcast tours and still work for the government.

The whole reason he went public is because he was apparently worried that his life was in danger.
Sure they could’ve killed him *before* he spilled the beans, but if every person that worked on a project like that became silenced once they left the project, the existing or future scientists to work on the project might notice something like that. It’d also be an issue if you wished to bring some of that talent back in future to work on the project again or work on a different project.
Bob was apparently off the project due to his wife having an affair (which he didn’t know about at the time) and they were worried about his apparent mental state that could be caused once he found out, however I don’t think it was ever suggested that he wouldn’t be brought back in once his home situation had been resolved, but he jumped the gun and spilt the beans because to him, the suspension was out of nowhere and he thought that he was going to be silenced. Whether he was or wasn’t it’s really difficult to say, maybe they were going to kill him but hadn’t got around to it yet, or maybe they were just gonna keep him on standby until he got divorced or repaired his home life then bring him back into the fold.

Saying that killing him would make his story credible is just nonsense. They kill anyone they feel like, regardless on how the outcome will look like. Silence is their main goal and they would do whatever possible to make it happen.
