    1. What a shocker, absorb the competition then start the enshittification process, time to start getting the complaints into the CMA.

      >New customers looking to take out most of the operator’s new Pay Monthly and Mobile Broadband plans will now be subject to a maximum speed cap of “up to” 100Mbps (in practice this will most typically reflect download performance, since uploads rarely reach that high).

      >NOTE: Three UK are now selling some new plans, at extra cost (£4), with “full speed” being offered (can also be taken as an add-on for the same price on other plans).

      > Three’s Text Message to PAYG Customers:

      >“We wanted to let you know about upcoming changes to our network. From 19 April, download speeds will be capped at 50Mbps for new customers. But good news – if you keep your current Auto-renew Data Pack active, you will continue enjoying uncapped speeds.”

Since the Vodafone merger I’ve gone from getting 300 megabit down to 10 if I’m lucky. Absolute dogshit

Mobile comms in the UK are an utter joke.

Offcom are as useful as offwat or offgen.

Our regulators need a massive overhaul.

Three is an absolutely scumbag network provider. Always has been and apparently still are trying to outdo themselves.

So weird that Three and Vodafone merged and then Threes business went to shit. It’s mental how this couldn’t have been predicted and has just come out of the blue.

    6. I always thought their shit was tolerated because they were the cheapest primary network? Isn’t this just throwing away a genuine competitive edge?

    7. Bold of them to assume their signal strength is strong enough to get anywhere close to 25Mbps in the first place

    8. My to do list has move away from 3 on it.

I’m on a really old contract that used to have minimal price rises but from this April they “simplified it” meaning it went up £2 which was 20% of my £10 sim only deal.

Need to look at options with free EU roaming.

      >Better 5G services through increased investment would boost competition between the mobile network operators in the long term, it added, „benefiting millions“.

Ah yes, fewer companies competing = boosted competition.

I’m sure the benefits from the „increased competition“ are just right around the corner.

It’s always surprises me the lengths big companies go to enshittify their products. Once upon a time, when you bought a cake, you got the whole damn thing. Then they started selling you slices. Now they’re selling the individual ingredients along with the slices. And the box comes as extra too.

Like others have said, I knew they were Compromised by Salt Tycoon but I didn’t realise it was that bad
