Das Ergebnis hat mich überrascht: Die fünf am stärksten von KI betroffenen Landkreise in Amerika liegen alle im Großraum Washington DC (Loudoun VA, DC, Frederick MD, Montgomery MD, Prince George’s MD). Keine im Rostgürtel.
Methodik: Kombination aus Felten-Raj-Rock 2021 AI-Berufsexpositionswerten, BLS OEWS 2024 County-Beschäftigung, O*NET 29.1-Aufgabenbeschreibungen und IFR 2023-Robotikdaten. Die Konfidenzbänder weiten sich mit der Zeit aus (kurzfristig evidenzbasiert, nur langfristiges Szenario).

In this analysis, „most exposed“ seems to be extremely bad and least exposed still very bad. If 75% of the jobs are at risk in an area, a county four states away with a tourist based economy with 55% exposure is definitely going to be feeling the impact.
With advancements in robotics to the point that they can run in foot races, today, I don’t think ANY job will be exclusively human dominated in the relatively near future, including labor intensive jobs such as construction. Keep in mind that automation alone, such as containerization of international shipping, caused huge disruptions in the maritime labor force. Add in the infiltration of ai throughout our lives, as well as robotics, and I really can’t think of a single industry that won’t be decimated by the tech bros and their oligarchical investors.
I can’t tell what most of the numbers mean. Can you add something that explains the units or definition of the parameters.
„Displacement exposure“ is your most important outcome, so that parameter needs to be unambiguously defined to even the most casual observer. Choose a location and words that make that as clear as you can.
