    1. There was also an article that one of his patient’s had their file reviewed and used to accuse Dr Wilmes of malpractice without their consent. The article said that the patient had received several opinions on his case (maybe even that Dr Wilmes was his second opinion). The patient acknowledged that his case was a grey area/the proper path forward was not clear and they decided to proceed with surgery. They were happy with the treatment they received and they were upset their case was used against Dr Wilmes.

If I were the patient and happy with my care I’d be upset too. These things are often complicated and we need to be able to trust doctors to give us informed consent and to help us make decisions that work for us.

I am not a patient and don’t have an opinion either way. I think there’s a ton of nuance and lots of grey areas… the reason medicine is called an art or a practice sometimes. I have been very happy with the majority of care I’ve received while living here. It really seems Luxembourg needs some reform with transparency though.

The article as a whole suggests that the French experts and by extension the Health Minister could very well be in the wrong, here. Some very prominent international experts have sided with Wilmes.

I’d suggest reading the entire article before forming an opinion. Or you could go the apegen route and just vomit the first emotion that you experience on reading the headline straight into your keyboard, that’s also an option.

why take three French experts? why not take at least one German and maybe one Belgian or Swizz instead?
