Money is meaningless and investors are babies with keychains dangling over their heads. I went to a prestigious university and I did business and economics, I took courses on entrepreneurship which at the time focussed a lot on tech and those kinds of startups. At the time I thought wow this system doesn’t make a lot of sense to me but they are grownups and rich and they must know what they are doing.
They don’t, but they also kind of do. At some point you have so much money that it doesn’t matter if something sounds too good to be true, you’ll still invest _just in case._ You know it’s probably bullshit, but what if? You have so much money you can spend more of it elsewhere on safer things anyway.
