What Ukraine achieved to become is insane as fuck. Back in 2000 they looked like any old post soviet, outdated and weak forces…now they look like being in the future using state of the art equipment in every single level. The very nature of war have changed and they changed along it. That is truely outstanding.

Yeah our country donated bunch of those, i mean 113. In the army its being called coffin on wheels. I have no idea why they pursue this idea to make those again in this drone ages, maybe armor upgraded? Still its coffin on wheels

Very clearly this is a development that moves away from Soviet equipment like the BMP and towards being an evolutionary descendant of more survivable vehicles like the M113 and Bradley. In that sense it’s similar to the US AMPV and K-21 Redback, among others. It clearly has mounting points for reactive and anti-drone armour as well as a a turret hatch large enough to accommodate light and heavy machine guns along with automatic cannons.

One wonders what the next evolution in Ukranian armour will look like, given that Ukraine has the best features and plethora of data from old stalwarts like the T-64 and NATO armour to choose from.

I’m a bit concerned a out how much protection that flat top will provide against FPV drones or drone dropped grenades.
