  1. That statement they put out is way too long. All her reps had to say was “she has nothing to do with any negative entanglements regarding her family.” End of story.

„The artist began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently for many years, apart from her family. As such, she is not in a position to be aware of or involved in the private matters of the individual in question.“ – It’s kind of sad that has to be used as a defence.

While I cannot say Jisoo knew her brother had this type of behavior in the past or present, people cannot forget she had him supposedly working with her and they are clearly still in some sort of speaking relationship as she went to one of his weddings. So, I can’t believe that Jisoo is so cut off from her family due to being a idol that she has 0 clue that her brother even got arrested.

However, abusers can hide in plain sight and it’s entirely possible she had no idea her brother was like this OR was told a different story by him to mask the abuse coming out. Either way, I do feel like Jisoo will get flak for possibly hiring him, especially with one of his victims claiming his family knew about everything for a while due to him abusing his first partner the same way years ago.

This man has not only been accused of spousal abuse, but sexual assault and torture just to let everybody know by multiple women.

This is a bit of a strange defense considering it was previously reported they had a business relationship and he was apparently credited in some of her work. I can understand if they said she was unaware of his personal behavior behind closed doors, but to basically say she has no relationship with her family? That doesn’t seem like what’s been portrayed in the past.

Edited to add: It seems like they are contradicting themselves a bit by saying she has been separated from her family but also that her family was consulted when starting the company. I get what they were trying to do though.

  5. The way y’all are trying to make this about her and not about the perpetrator is extremely weird.. Always trying to hold women accountable for men’s actions

  6. This was a very overwritten statement, I think it’ll lead to more questions and prodding than it solves.
