I wonder how long they can keep someone legally in limbo like that. This investigation is taking ages

Wtf is the us embassy requesting travel exemption?? He ain’t US citizen

Doesn’t really set a good precedent to lift the ban on some rich guy just so he can go to “Independence Day celebrations” and a concert, does it lmfao do people genuinely believe these excuses? He’s not even a US citizen so why tf should the US embassy be listened to?

The year is 2032, BSH is still being investigated without indiction…

Being confined to a country for 9 months while not being formally charged with anything feels like it should be a rights violation…and the fact that they expect it to go on into the summer meaning it’ll be a full year at that point. Luckily for Bang, he has the money and power to be able to absorb potential damage from those kind of life restrictions, but I’m sure there are plenty of Korean citizens who don’t and are left in legal limbo hell for years while not being able to do anything about it.

Why the fuck is the U.S. embassy requesting this? Just so this KOREAN CITIZEN can attend a whopping July 4th event? Surely BSH must’ve asked the U.S. embassy to step in for him or something?
It’s baffling that the U.S. embassy was basically like, ‘Yeah sure, we’ll go ahead and make a formal request to the Korean National Police Agency for you,’
This is a fucking joke

What could possibly justify a travel exemption? Whatever they’re trying to use would never be applicable to normal poors.

One thing Korea and the US have in common, if you have enough money you are above the justice system.

I’m so sick of this man🤮 He used to be likeable but ever since Hybe was build, he become too greedy and arrogant.

The worst is how he uses BTS as a shield against his many legal problems.
I’m thankful that the members will be safely in Europe for Trump’s grotesque 4th of July show.
I still fear, however, that BSH will use BTS to get in good with the magat crowd. Or Trump invites them to the White House because they visited Biden and BSH pressures them to accept. Whatever his plans, BTS members must never, ever, NEVER get near that monster. It would truly be unforgivable.

It is so blatantly corrupt for a government to ask this. Stunningly.
It’s not like he’s performing, this is so so obviously because he is rich. Literally no other reason than, “this guy can pay me a lot of money”.

Let’s be honest, the most at blame here is korean police.
It’s been months (maybe we are even close to reach one year already from all this BSH thing?) that they’re investigating his case, they already raided not only HYBE headquarters but his home, made like how many (i lost count) interrogations with him and all of them lasted more than 10 hours iirc, heard people from here and there etc etc and they still can’t even give a real update about his case, even less determine if he is guilty of something or not. And we have to remember that, while someone isn’t really convicted as guilty, the presumption of innocence should prevails. I know he is being investigated, but bro, at this point if he really did something so bad they would already find at least something enough to jail him etc.
They already froze his assets related to his shares in HYBE too. We have to remember that he is in a business that he need to do some business trips etc, so if he ends being being innocent, they would really have messed up with his image and business for almost one year or more for nothing.
I’m not saying they should lift his ban, but it’s time the police gets some time of official pressure to deliver some type of real results about all the investigations, raids, interrogations etc they made since months ago.

Atp, either the investigation into him is vast and deep and more complex than anyone could imagine, or there’s really nothing to charge him with. If it’s the former, sure, let him stay in S.K. If it’s the latter – it’s time to close the case.
The authorities have been formally investigating him for over a year now. Surely there’s an update or two to be shared.

Exactly what you’s expect from a corrupt government, helping a corrupt executive

This is SO random and weird. That aside, he’s been under investigation for years now and atp I’m just confused. It reminds me of a comment someone made early on in this fiasco saying how it basically comes down to politics within the police department, and how they’re doing whatever they can to get a “slam dunk” on a high profile case for promotions and whatnot. It’s that same trope that appears over and over in k-dramas.
If he’s guilty then get his ass already. Otherwise, if nothing comes out of this then they basically just held him hostage all this time lmao.
