Well then, so will the terrorists, but somehow they already have guns AND some basic training on using them.
If you want to make it legal, then by all means do so. But do *NOT* put it in your constitution, or at the very least make it very clear that the government has the right to regulate it as necessary. Don’t do what we did, with some vaguely defined universal open concept that can be stretched beyond all reasonable comprehension
People living in a war zone aren’t armed for self-defence?
Maybe allowing ruZZians to live in Ukraine AND own a gun isn’t particularly sensible. 🤔
No point doing so in Kyiv. But might be a good idea to arm the civillians in frontline settlements to assist hunting down russian infiltrators. Those infiltrators are often unarmed, or lightly-armed for mobility, and disguised as civillians. Quite challenging for UAVs to detect and engage.
Ukraine does have the precedents of armed civillian groups in eastern cities like Kharkiv, Donetsk and Mariupol
