It’s an awe-inspiring experience seeing the complex and general facility. Between the Saturn V and Columbia buidings I’m always thinking about my next trip…
There’s a lot of BIG launches planned in the next couple years. Definitely worth planning around!

Seeing ~~Discovery~~ Atlantis hanging in the hall above you with the payload doors open…I just stopped and stared for what felt like an hour. It’s unreal seeing it *right there* and just *how big it is*.
Do yourself a favor and see KSC while you can.
edit: we last visited in 2021, so my memory was fuzzy. Sorry.

Imagine being stuck with a couple of other dudes in that sardine can for a few days on the way to and from the moon.

Did this encapsulate your visit?

My first visit was decades ago, back when the tour bus took you out to a launch pad. I try to go every 5 years or so, it changes slowly but is always interesting.

Someone was cutting onions near me when I visited Houston JSC. I grew up into an engineering career because of the space program.

I’d love for the Cape Canaveral tour to open again.

Make sure you take the bus to the Saturn Center. Lots of big stuff there!

My son and I went when he was 13; we were supposed to go to a Minecraft convention in Orlando, but the tickets fell through, and I’d foolishly already bought airfare. I suggested we could do Disney World, but he wanted to do KSC.
We only got one full day there, unfortunately. But about five years later I took all the kids down for a Disney World trip, with the older ones agreeing if we could spend a couple days at KSC. At the time, we could rent a car on the DW property, then return it to one of the hotels when we were done. Going for two days is definitely the way to do KSC, you can get in a couple of the tours, especially one of the longer ones.

Indeed, it’s an amazing experience! Have been there twice. One day visit always seems to be too short.
Definitely coming back!

That’s so cool! I would love to go there but I’m afraid I wouldn’t get in the country because I said mean things about Trump.

Was astronaut Katy Perry there?

I cried and cried my whole visit out of joy and awe. I also only had one day, and will need to go back 💜
