      Of course he won’t. But he has to say it otherwise he’ll be seen as a lame duck and it will start the competition to replace him.

      Why? The government is getting very little done, while the problems are mounting. He has been a safe pair of hands for FF, but the country needs new energy.

      is it not utterly damaging for Fianna Fail that nobody has the gumption or political capital to actually challenge for leadership. It’s beyond obvious that MM has benefitted from this…in most other parties or periods of time he’d be gone at least 6 months ago by now. The ’stalwarts‘ have done themselves no favours with this…fertile ground for a fresh face to emerge

      He’ll be 68 then & this is the problem with politics, people his age who have to cling on instead of letting the next generation take the reigns.

      The way these ghouls try to cling to power, If FF or FG want to be taken seriously they must acknowledge they have lost touch with the common person in Ireland and that means a lot of both parties need to go
