There should be a freeze on electricity price increases for at least a year.
The companies can eat the losses or go without profits for one year.

      Enough is enough.

Can’t go 100% green fast enough. Irish generated doesn’t matter if its from oil. We need to control our own energy

I don’t have the money to pay for solar, but I’d pay for them in installments on my electricity bill if that was a possibility.

A quarter century subsidising massive energy companies and prices have never been higher🤔

[The public service obligation levy (PSO levy) was introduced in Ireland in 2001 as a charge on all electricity consumers to support energy policy goals that would not otherwise have been met by the electricity market. ](https://boc.ie/Case-studies/Review-of-public-service-obligation–PSO–levy)

Essentially, public money to interfere with the market and to subsidise private enterprise but no market interference when it comes to protecting consumers. At least the data centers are enjoying the benefits o/

I’m glad minister always bring in the bad news instead of offering some help.

Dont care, cheap EV rates at €0.09 kW/h for EV plus solar batteries charged overnight is really worth it, 9% price increase to ~€0.105 kW/h makes no big difference in our use case.

How could this be? We were told greener hills are coming due to all that wind and solar yet we now have second highest electricity prices in Europe that’s about to get higher again. Looks like the population was sold a lie yet again

    8. They really won’t be happy until it’s the „Trying to get blood from a stone“ situation for many people.

Freeze the prices. Look at the profits these companies are making each year, they can’t take the hit, we can’t.

This is the time to dip into the rainy day money and get solar panels put on every residence in Ireland.

To ask a silly question”What if we all got solar panels tomorrow what would the power companies do”? It almost like they are pushing residential customers out of their way.
