Der berühmte Geschichtenerzähler Aynalı (sein richtiger Name ist Mustafa Hussein) mit den Ältesten des Dorfes Sinta im Hafen von Famagusta. Er war unter türkischen Zyprioten bekannt, weil er am Kyrenia-Tor auf einen Hocker kletterte und die Menge mit seinen Geschichtenerzählungen, epischen Vorträgen und Ghazals unterhielt. Er war außerdem Koranexperte und Imam und arbeitete eine Zeit lang als Polizist in Paphos für die britische Kolonie.

Its a shame we dont have more stories from the market and the port of Famagusta, especially era when the picture was taken which was a very brief moment in time when Cypriots felt safe and had hope for some sort of a future. Then in November of 1963 the first Kennedy was shot and a month later Bloody Xmas here in Cyprus. Ο ποιητής λαλεί: “Κάπου κιαμέ εξεκίνησε πάλε η ζωή να γίνεται ηλίθια.“
