Why are we as a society okay with this? Why are companies like this still in business?

    2. whiskeytown79 on

Thiel, Musk, and others in the inner circles of these companies all got their start in apartheid South Africa.

This is the Israelization of corporate America. Zero empathy. Full blown unapologetic racism. Fascist tendencies everywhere you look

    4. If they oppose inclusive cultures and regressive cultures, that’s left?

“Regressive cultures” man they really don’t pick up on hypocritical irony.

These people will steal your money and try to tell you it was always theirs.

These Nazis have no culture, but it is their outlook that is regressive. Every aspect of this white nationalist occupation of our government has been a regressive culture.

I’d ask for a quieter circling around the drain, but apparently these people truly don’t think they will fail, as they’re actively failing.

      “Inclusivity and regressive cultures”.

“We want to be wet, but also dry.”

      what even is that bullshit?

This will be part of future congressional hearings where Palantir is banned from all future government contracting and pursued for criminal charges.

Why is the US always so ludicrously evil? They don’t even bother to maintain the facade. There was always a market for evil.companies peddling their tools for unilateral violence and oppression. Now the US people has become so spineless that this market dares openly advertise their horrors, while pandering to the political biases of the violent wanna be tyrants.

This just screams “our founder/ceo is an insecure little bitch who knows he got lucky.”

    10. Drain their moat, and the problem disappears. The notion that they have any sort of technical edge whatsoever is complete fabrication. You [need not depend on them](https://github.com/syzygyhack/open-foundry). ESPECIALLY in the AI age that is blossoming.

They have not thought this through. This is because they have no intellectual edge, either. Just self-servers that want to drag you down with them. Serve your fellow human beings and brighter times await.

    11. Alex Karp and his goons are engaged in making life on this planet worse. But I can’t say what I wish happened to Alex Karp or else I’ll get banned.

‘Civility’ and ‘Respectability politics’ are getting old real quick.

    12. From his Wikipedia entry:

      > Early life and background
      > Alexander Caedmon Karp was born in New York City,[3][5] the eldest son of Robert Joseph Karp, a Jewish clinical pediatrician,[6] and Leah Jaynes Karp, an African American artist.

Seems like without inclusivity his parents wouldn’t even be accepted.

I didn’t ask for a president that considers himself King of the Whites, and I didn’t ask for software services that think they need to defend white people from pluralism. JFC, so many rich people with cooked brains, calling themselves elites, cosplaying Lord of the Rings without grasping any of the common humanity to be found in it.

Tech is the regressive culture under these stewards.

    14. Is this a good place to mention that the company is named after a scrying device that corrupts anybody who tries to use it?

    15. theouterworld on

We had a tech demo at my office from them. And to describe their sales pitch as cartoonish evil is underselling it.

They called themselves ‚Palantirans‘ and all looked like they had strong opinions on Jews, gimp suits, and Ayn Rand. None of them smiled, they just kinda sneered. We couldn’t get rid of them fast enough.

    16. Sometimes I think we can fix this without violence.

Then I read something like this.

Might be time for a reminder that we don’t need them, but they definitely need us.

      > One age of deterrence, the atomic age, is ending

One really has to be an imbecille in order to write something as colossally stupid as this while US and Russia still have enough nukes to blow us back to the stone age.
