Wurde von meinem Metzger wegen „Bio“-Fleisch betrogen
Seit Monaten kaufe ich „Bio“-Fleisch aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern (Irland, Italien usw.) zu Spitzenpreisen.
Heute habe ich darum gebeten, das Etikett zu sehen. Ich musste den Metzger etwas unter Druck setzen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass das Fleisch überhaupt nicht biologisch war und vollständig aus Polen stammte (dort geboren, aufgezogen und geschlachtet). Aber auf dem Etikett stand eindeutig „Bio – Irland“.
Als ich ihn zur Rede stellte, behauptete der Metzger, das Tier sei in Irland aufgezogen und dann in Polen geschlachtet worden. Lüge. Das eigentliche Etikett sagt etwas anderes.
PSA: Überprüfen Sie das Etikett immer selbst. Fragen Sie nach, wo das Tier tatsächlich geboren, aufgezogen und geschlachtet wurde. Es ist Ihr gesetzliches Recht.

I also prefer to pay premium for higher quality meat, but at this point the whole “organic” label is scam in itself, nevermind the second scam layer you’ve found here.
Welbee’s in High Street not too far from there seemengly has higher quality meat.
Wtf is organic meat??
Yeah, Ireland exports calves to other countries. Believe has to do with carbon offsets or something to these lines. But the label says born in Poland, raised in Poland, slaughtered in Poland quite clearly. Not an Irish grass fed steak at all. That’s a scam.
Report this to MCCAA. Especially if you have a pic of the fridge label saying it’s different from what this label says.
