      Wild how it’s gone from scruffy but characterful to dense and kinda generic so fast. If it bums you out, exploring the canals and backstreets still feels more “old” Manchester.

      Where have all the street lamps gone? Seriously though, what’s lighting that street at night?

      And the pedestrian/cyclist spaces look just tragic in that photo.

      Would it have killed them to you know make the street wider before adding 1000’s of people

      Amazing to watch. But so many people I know will look at the above and start whining about „nasty towers“ and „we don’t want to be like London.“ I’m like….I hate to say this, but London and Manchester are among the few parts of the UK that are actually doing well. Much of the North only has public services because London is paying for them.

      Would’ve been nice to throw a cycle lane in there. Instead they allow pavement parking…
