Stellungnahme zur Einreichung: Nachdem Tyler Oliveira Hunderte von Videos veröffentlicht hatte, die farbige Menschen in einem negativen Licht erscheinen ließen, veröffentlichte er eines über Juden und wurde sofort von Patreon ausgeschlossen.
Ich habe nicht viel Empörung darüber gesehen. Viele Menschen in der schwarzen Community schienen mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden zu sein, aber ich habe nicht viel darüber nachgedacht, warum Patreon bereit war, von Hunderten von Videos zu profitieren, die schwarze Menschen in einem negativen Licht darstellten – oft mit Schwerpunkt auf einkommensschwachen Vierteln oder der Verstärkung schädlicher Stereotypen –, aber schnell reagierte, als sich das Ziel auf jüdische Menschen verlagerte. Es gab keinen vergleichbaren Vorstoß, die Plattform dafür zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen, dass sie von antischwarzen Inhalten profitiert, oder zu hinterfragen, warum sie nur Maßnahmen ergriffen hat, als die jüdische Gemeinschaft betroffen war.
Ich empfehle dringend, sich das Video anzusehen, es ist unglaublich aufschlussreich. Es zeigt, wie die ultraorthodoxe Gemeinschaft in nur 30 Jahren von nur wenigen Tausend auf über hunderttausend Mitglieder angewachsen ist. Sobald sie sich der neunstelligen Marke nähern, könnten die Dinge eine dramatische Wendung nehmen. Werden die USA irgendwann Gaza ähneln? Das Video untersucht auch die Auswirkungen dieses Wachstums auf andere Gemeinden, die machtlos sind, da die Mittel für nichtjüdische Schulen weiterhin gekürzt werden.

Yeah this shit is actually crazy. The one group you can’t discuss… However, I don’t like this guy because his videos are very ragebaity, he uses manipulative editing and provocative questions to push a particular narrative. Even if the narrative is true in the end, I wish he could be more objective. The clickbait thumbnails tell you all you need to know.

I mean, I’m with you on it being scary that after all those hours of content, it’s a bit troublesome that a single vid about this particular group is ban worthy. But I assure you, they will never have the numbers in this country to treat Americans like Gazans.

Tyler is a race baiter. His whole thing is about finding race-specific issues and amplifying them through using thumbnails of a Jewish guy surrounded by fire and with an AK47 (wtf?) and non-consensual interviews where he acts like his suspicions are all confirmed if someone simply doesn’t want to talk to him. At the same time, the backlash only really happened once he did this to the Jewish community rather than other minorities which does prove OPs point to an extent.
I watched that documentary, it was wild the way the people being interviewed would instantly try to shut down the interview.
