      Why do I have a feeling this is a nudge for Germany, this is not a knock on the Koreans but Carney has got to want this contract to be the opening for our entrance into the rearm Europe partnership

      Still feel like we should do both. Floatila on the Pacific and a floatila on the Atlantic, both can converge on the north as needed.

      Still have my vote on drone related naval warfare due to Canadas sheer size but if I can’t have that, why not have independent strategic deterrence platforms on both sides of the country 🤷

      Tangentially related, but is anyone else being flooded by ads lately from Hanwha? Seems like they’re really trying to push public opinion towards them instead of TKMS for the submarine contract.

      Why is defence procurement trying to get Korea or Germany to set up car factories or whatever else in Canada? Why is is it not getting the best equipment available?
