The Mon Blood Army formed on December 28, 2025. Their name in the indigenous language is ဒပ်ဆီ (Dop Chun Mon). Mon language is in the same family as Vietnamese and Khmer. The Khmer name would be something like កងទ័ព ឈាម មន (Kongtoep Chiem Mon). The probable Burmese equivalent would be မွန်သွေးတပ် (Mon Swe Tat) [The Burmese writing script is also called Mon-Burmese].

With that out of the way, most of these battles took place during the Thingyan (Burmese New Year) period.
