Nach Angaben des russischen Staatsunternehmens VTsIOM hat Putins Zustimmungsrate den tiefsten Stand seit fünf Jahren erreicht. Internetblockaden haben die Russen mehr empört als der Ausbruch eines Krieges.

I hate charts that start so high to exaggerate the results. That’s still 2/3 approval. Western leaders would love those numbers.

This is in a country where openly stating you don’t support the official state policies on anything can get you in jail on ‘terrorist’ charges. F.e. All non-State owned independent media has simply been labeled ‘terrorist’ and prosecuted and pestered out of the country. So Russians have been used for ages to just parrot the official propaganda lines or ‘I am not political’ and walk away on anything dangerous to have a opinion about in public.
So people being brave enough to openly state they don’t approve of Putin is telling you something.

Love the way Ruzzians prioritize their digital lives instead of the lives of their neighbors.

Let’s be honest, most people in any country would willingly go to the frontlines as long as they can make a tiktok out of it.

Intense economic chaos? Zilch.
Historic antipathy from the rest of the continent? Fogettaboutit.
No more telegram baddies or war crime bloggers? The vatniks begin to stir.
